This series of six research findings is made possible through a collaborative effort of the Centre for Entrepreneur Development and Research (CEDAR) with six local institutions of higher learning in Malaysia.
Focusing on six of the National Key Economic Area (NKEA) sectors-Tourism & Hospitality, Education; Retail & Wholesale; Healthcare; green Technology, and Oil & Energy-the key objectives of pursuing this journey of discovery are as follows:
To have a deeper understanding of the industry, its potentials, markets, dimensions, challlenges and business prospects for players and new entrants;
To identify real issues, risks and key factors influencing the success and failures of SMEs within the respective industries and its sub-sectors (value and supply-chains)
To derive action-driven research findings, which shall be used as reference tools by the SME Development Bank Malaysia in extending its financing services to current and /or potential customers.
